Jeff Warlick Voted Peachtree City Rotary Rookie of the Year |
|
Due to Jeff's active involvement and commitment to the Rotary Club of Peachtree City, he was voted Rotary Rookie of the Year. In his first year, Jeff was appointed to the Board of Directors, managed Rotary Safety Town, co-managed the Elementary School Grand Prix Race series, assumed responsibilities for the newsletter and website, appointed to the Phonebook Operations Committee, and named Marketing Director for the new Dragon Boat and International Festival. This year Jeff is currently serving as Secretary to the Club. |

Rotary Club Elementary School Grand Prix Races | |

George Martin and Jeff Warlick are Team Leaders for the Rotary Club of Peachtree City Elementary Grand Prix Races. All fifteen Fayette County Elementary Schools participate in these races. In order to promote health and wellness in the school, over 2,000 runners and walkers participate each year which raises $100,000 each year to support school activities. | |

Jeff Warlick Selected to Head Safety Town | |

George Martin, Vice President in charge of designing and implementing a new "signature project' for our club has selected Jeff Warlick as chair of the "Rotary Safety Town Committee." "Rotary Safety Town" is a preschool safety awareness camp that will begin this year on June 18-22nd to teach local children to be safe around fire, traffic, safety, hazardous materials and strangers. The club will work in cooperation with the Peachtree City Police Department, the Peachtree City Fire Department, the Peachtree City Recreation Department and the YMCA. Members of the steering committee, in addition to Jeff Warlick, include Rotarians George Martin, Pam Young, Cyndi Plunkett, James Bacon, Craig Epps, and Brenda Erickson in addition to other governmental agencies and the Fayette County School System. | |

Fun was had by all at the year-end party. We said good-bye to Balazs and Mary passed the torch to David. Good conversation and great friendships at Jeff and Christine Warlick's home.
